Ellie - Nevada (2016)

Dear Danielle -

I want to send a note of THANK YOU for enriching our lives with this beautiful Shiba Inu. We named her Ellie. She is an absolute gem. Our family fell in love with her instantly, the moment we laid eyes on her. This was the day we were emailed a 6 week picture of her from you, Danielle. I couldn't get enough views of the picture. I screamed and cried when I first saw it and being a teacher, I kept showing my students this picture on my projector and got them just as excited!

The flight process was made easy by your instructions and organization. So, when the day arrived, we picked her up at the appointed airline cargo dept where she was already getting praises from the employees. She arrived tired and a little confused but that soon was set aside once she was held and gently handled by her new mommy (Me!).

Then we took her home and introduced her to some of her new toys. She has taken an instant love-ing to her monkey and still attaches herself to monkey every night in her crate.

I loved how we got an email from you, Danielle, checking up on her. You were concerned about her not eating and suggested added water to soften food. She slept a lot the first day and the 2nd day, she began eating and drinking. I brought her to our veterinarian this day and she got a full check up and was claimed as a very CUTE and healthy Shiba Inu. As the days passed, we learned to the great intelligence of our Ellie. She learned her name quickly, where to go potty outside, and the word "No" even quicker. It has been an absolute joy for our family to train her and play with her. At 19 weeks, she can fill a book with her vocabulary knowledge. She is very obedient and so affectionate! Certainly not a lap dog but when she wants affection, she'll let you know. The most amazing thing she has learned is "the bell". We have a push bell on the floor next to our door to the outside. Any time she wishes to go outside, whether to potty or just to play or sit, she goes over to the bell and paws it to ring it. Then we take her outside. We have a large house so its nice to be able to go upstairs and hear the bell when she rings it. This is something that drops jaws when we have visitors. We are so proud of her!

he loves to go outside and soak up the sun (we have loads here in Las Vegas). We are blessed with a large yard and she runs around chasing birds and blowing palm leaves. She is very happy here and so loved. We bring her to our vet for wellness shots. The vets in the animal hospital we bring her to get so excited to see her. She brings so much joy to every one she meets.

She even smiles!

Today, she is getting used to the cone she has to wear for a few more days due to her spaying and microchip operations. She is acclimating just fine. She already learned to eat and drink and chew on her nubby bone. I'm sure she's counting down the days until its off though.

Thank You Danielle. You are wonderful! Thank you for our Ellie. She's a dream.
